51 Lucy is not found in the 1901 census and I have not found a marriage for her-
I am assuming that she died in youth-
A note from Eileen Cook in England as follows:
You mention a Lucy Allcorn as being the sister of George. One of his brothers
speaks of a Louisa ? ( could that have been Lucy ? ) who and I now quote
from the letter " who was rather naughty, I fear !, as at the age of 16 she
told her mother she was staring a job - domestic service - in Lewes. But
the next her mother heard of her " she was on the high seas " on her way
to America with a man considerably older than herself. After her husband died
she wrote to Uncle Charlie and said she would like to visit England and her
children thought that her family in England might like to help with the cost
of the fare. Joan remembers Uncle charlie saying that as she went of her
own accord she could come back of her own accord !. Apparrently she lived
in Cleveland , Ohio.

Frederick worked at the Phoenix Ironworks (owned by John Every), Lewes for more than 25 years. He moved to Chichester to work for his brother in law, Ernest Altman before returning to Lewes where he worked for Alpha Cement Ltd at Rodmell for 6 years until his death.
A legacy of his work as a skilled turner at Every's are the ornate lamp posts along Brighton sea front.
He was a member of the Clarence de Warrenne Lodge of Oddfellows.
